Oval · 1.00 ct minimum · fancy yellow · $600 per carat
Roughly 8.2 × 5.8 mm face up — the measurement a setter works from.
360° footage of a stone of this cut. Shown in white — a fancy color stone is cut identically. Yours is allocated at dispatch and will meet or beat the specification below.
Oval cut
A brilliant stretched long enough to flatter the hand.
An oval spreads its weight across a wider face than a round of the same carat, so it reads larger. Watch the bow-tie: a dark band across the center that sits somewhere between invisible and obvious depending on how the pavilion was cut.

We move enough volume that we will not pretend to know which stone in the parcel becomes yours. What we will do is put a floor under every part of it and let the variance run in your favor — the weight, the clarity and the color can come in above what you paid for, and regularly do.
For example
You order 1.00 ct · VS1 · Fancy yellow.
You might receive 1.10 ct · VVS1 · Fancy yellow.
Same price either way.
What VS1 and fancy actually mean
- VS1
- Very slightly included. Minor inclusions, hard to locate even under a loupe.
- Fancy yellow
- Fancy color grades describe hue, tone and saturation rather than the absence of color. Saturated yellow, graded fancy or better. Anything graded below fancy does not leave the workshop.

Buying a oval
An oval spreads its weight across a wider face than a round of the same carat, so it reads larger. Watch the bow-tie: a dark band across the center that sits somewhere between invisible and obvious depending on how the pavilion was cut.
Proportion to expect: 1.35–1.50 is the range most buyers settle on. We cut to the middle of that range, so a oval from us looks like the shape you pictured rather than a stretched version of it.
Every oval is laboratory grown, graded by IGI or GIA, and shipped with its report. If the stone that arrives is not the one you want, request a return authorization within 30 days.
