Round cut diamond

Round · 1.00 ct minimum · fancy green · $600 per carat

Roughly 6.5 × 6.5 mm face up — the measurement a setter works from.

360° footage of a stone of this cut. Shown in white — a fancy color stone is cut identically. Yours is allocated at dispatch and will meet or beat the specification below.

Round cut

Fifty-seven facets cut to a tolerance nothing else is held to.

The round brilliant is the only shape with an agreed cut grade, which is why it is the benchmark every other price is quoted against. It loses the most rough in cutting, so it costs the most per carat — and returns the most light.

Size

1.00 ct minimum

The size you choose is the floor. Stones ship at that weight or up to 10% over — 1.00 to 1.10 ct — and never under.

Body color

$600 / ct

Soft green, graded fancy or better. White diamonds are $510 a carat; fancy colors are $600.

Price

1.00 ct × $600 per carat

Color
Fancy green or better.
Cut

We move enough volume that we will not pretend to know which stone in the parcel becomes yours. What we will do is put a floor under every part of it and let the variance run in your favor — the weight, the clarity and the color can come in above what you paid for, and regularly do.

For example

You order 1.00 ct · VS1 · Fancy green.
You might receive 1.10 ct · VVS1 · Fancy green.

Same price either way.

What VS1 and fancy actually mean
VS1
Very slightly included. Minor inclusions, hard to locate even under a loupe.
Fancy green
Fancy color grades describe hue, tone and saturation rather than the absence of color. Soft green, graded fancy or better. Anything graded below fancy does not leave the workshop.

Buying a round

The round brilliant is the only shape with an agreed cut grade, which is why it is the benchmark every other price is quoted against. It loses the most rough in cutting, so it costs the most per carat — and returns the most light.

Proportion to expect: 1.00 — a round should measure the same in both directions. We cut to the middle of that range, so a round from us looks like the shape you pictured rather than a stretched version of it.

Every round is laboratory grown, graded by IGI or GIA, and shipped with its report. If the stone that arrives is not the one you want, request a return authorization within 30 days.
